GCSE Perfection: Two Hockerill Students Achieve Full Set of Grade 9s
We are delighted to share this year’s GCSE results, which highlight another exceptional year of academic success for our students.
Two students, Elise Ching and Hanako Ward, achieved the remarkable feat of a clean sweep of Grade 9s across all 10 of their subjects.
Overall, 87% of students achieved Grade 4 or above in both English and Maths, demonstrating strong attainment across the cohort.
Alongside this headline success, Hockerill students also excelled in the government’s English Baccalaureate (EBacc) measure, which tracks performance across English, Maths, Science, Languages, and Humanities.
Hockerill’s EBacc Average Point Score (APS) was 6.06, compared to a national average of 4.07 in 2024—the equivalent of students achieving more than two grades higher across these key academic subjects.
