Welcome to Hockerill Sixth Form. This is an exciting time to join us, with an exceptional breadth of course choice, greater flexibility and a Sixth Form experience designed to enable students to build on their strengths, pursue their interests and prepare for their future ambitions.

From September 2027, students will be able to choose from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, A Levels and selected vocational qualifications, with opportunities to combine subjects across different programmes. Alongside established pathways, this flexibility allows students to create a challenging and purposeful programme of study that is right for them.

Our identity as an IB World School remains central to the culture and ethos of Hockerill. We are an international and outward-looking community that values intellectual curiosity, independence, critical thinking and an understanding of the wider world. Whatever programme students choose, expectations are high. They are taught and challenged by highly committed staff who know them well and are determined to help them achieve highly. Strong pastoral relationships encourage students to take increasing responsibility for their learning and wellbeing, while high-quality careers and university guidance helps them explore their options, make informed choices and prepare confidently for their next steps.

The Hockerill Sixth Form experience extends well beyond qualifications. Students benefit from an exceptional range of leadership, international, co-curricular and personal development opportunities. As the most senior students at Hockerill, our Sixth Formers are expected to contribute positively to our community, taking on positions of responsibility and acting as role models for younger students. Our diverse day and boarding community adds a genuinely global dimension to that experience.

Students also enjoy an outstanding purpose-built Sixth Form Centre, with excellent teaching facilities alongside dedicated independent study and social spaces. It provides an environment in which students can enjoy greater independence, work collaboratively and make the most of Sixth Form life.
