Current Student Eloise Daniell

I recently joined Hockerill’s sixth form at the start of September, which I chose to do because of the opportunities that doing the IB provides to develop my skills both now and in the future. Something that’s stood out to me is the profound sense of community at Hockerill as both the students and teachers have been incredibly welcoming and friendly. Being an international school, there are so many people that I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet otherwise, which I think is a really unique aspect of the school. I also feel that Hockerill has helped me improve as both a critical thinker and engaged student as teachers are really encouraging and supportive, in all aspects of my education. The many opportunities outside of the classroom has been another great way to settle into the school and make new friends which I’ve found through extra-curriculars such as Mock Trial Club, Peer-Mentoring and Netball. Overall, I feel very lucky to be a part of Hockerill’s community as everyone is very like-minded and wanting to achieve their very best which the IB wholly prepares us for.
