Year 11 Leavers’ Prom, Hockerill meets Hollywood

On Thursday evening, Year 11 gathered for their final celebration at Hockerill College with a spectacular Leavers’ Prom themed “Hockerill meets Hollywood”.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for students to come together one last time as a year group. The evening featured dancing with music provided by DJ Millard, a selection of food and soft drinks, and a retro photo booth where students captured plenty of memorable moments. It was also a chance to celebrate the end of Year 11 and enjoy an evening together with friends and staff before the next stage of their journey.

A highlight of the night was the presentation of the Prom “Oscar” awards. Among the winners were Prom King Joe Fair and Prom Queen Zara Thompson, who were crowned to great applause.

Students arrived dressed to impress, with outstanding Hollywood-inspired outfits that truly matched the theme and made for a striking evening.

Thank you to all staff who supported the set-up and ran the event so smoothly, and to the students whose enthusiasm and behaviour helped create such a positive and enjoyable atmosphere throughout.

A well-deserved celebration of hard work, friendship and unforgettable memories.

We wish all our Year 11 students a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing them again on GCSE Results Day for Sixth Form enrolment on Thursday 20 August.
