Sixth Form Success in the British Biology Olympiad 2026

Sixth Form Success in the British Biology Olympiad 2026

At the end of January, 11 of our Sixth Form Biology students took part in the British Biology Olympiad 2026, competing against almost 19,000 students from 1,132 schools and colleges across the UK.

We were delighted to receive the results during the half-term break and are proud to report that all of our students achieved an award, including Commended, Highly Commended, Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.

Special congratulations go to Elise Ching and William Martin, who both achieved Gold awards. As a result of this outstanding achievement, they are now eligible to compete in the next round of selection for the British team at the International Biology Olympiad 2026.

All participating students have also been awarded one year’s free BioNet membership from the Royal Society of Biology, recognising their commitment and enthusiasm for the subject.

The British Biology Olympiad is designed to challenge and inspire students with an interest in Biology, encouraging them to apply their knowledge to complex problems and develop their scientific thinking.

We warmly congratulate all of our entrants on their excellent achievements.
