Outstanding University and Apprenticeship Offers for Hockerill Sixth Form Students

Hockerill Anglo-European College is proud to celebrate an excellent range of university and apprenticeship offers received by its Year 13 International Baccalaureate Diploma students, reflecting both academic achievement and a strong international outlook.

Students from this year’s cohort of 125 are currently holding offers from a number of the UK’s most competitive universities, alongside world-leading institutions overseas, highlighting the effectiveness of the IB Diploma in preparing students for success at the highest level.

This year has seen particularly strong outcomes from Oxford and Cambridge, with 38% of students invited to interview receiving offers. At the University of Oxford, Tin Wai Ying has received a conditional offer to read Mathematics / Mathematics and Statistics. At the University of Cambridge, Oliver Becchi has received an unconditional offer to read History and Politics, while Diana Semashkova has received a conditional offer for Linguistics, and Tomas Walton-Betancourth a conditional offer for Natural Sciences.

The international reach of the IB Diploma is also reflected in offers from globally prestigious universities. Robin Choudhury and Tommaso Guglielmi both hold offers from Bocconi University to study Economics and Social Sciences. Isaiah Ayodele has received an offer from Northwestern University, and Gavin Cheng holds an offer to study Medicine at The University of Hong Kong.

In addition, Jocelyn Yung has secured a place on the Global Finance and Business Management Apprenticeship Programme (London) with JPMorgan Chase.

These outcomes reflect the ambition, diversity and internationalism of Hockerill’s Sixth Form, and the College congratulates all students as further offers continue to arrive.
