Hockerill Anglo-European College is now the proud recipient of an Investors in Careers Stage 3 Award, being only the third school in Hertfordshire to be awarded this honour. The Principal, Richard Markham, commented that “it is always rewarding to embark upon an accreditation process to seek external validation for what Hockerill offers. Ms McCulloch and the Careers Department at Hockerill deserve the utmost praise for gaining national recognition for the excellence of the careers support that they offer”
Investor in Careers is a quality standard for the management of careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) and is now the most widely used quality award of its kind recognised nationally across the country. The purpose of the Investors in Careers standard is about improving students’ awareness of opportunities, raising their aspirations and working with them to ensure they achieve their full potential.
Head of Careers, Alison McCulloch, “We have worked hard on raising the profile of careers provision throughout the College over the last three years, it is fantastic to have these efforts recognised in this way”.
