Hockerill students are celebrating outstanding GCSE performance today.

Rhys Jones, Assistant Principal Curriculum, said “We are so proud of the performance of our students. The speed in which both staff and students adapted to online learning was truly remarkable and this has been evidenced by these exceptional results. We very much look forward to welcoming both these students and our new students into the Sixth Form to study the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in September.”

Particularly strong performances came from:

Anton Trusty who passed all eleven of his GCSEs at Grade 9 and Sakura Fish who passed all eleven of her GCSEs with top grades, achieving ten Grade 9s and one A*

Sasha Boutell, Oliver Greet, Emily Issacs, Roisin Overend and Niyoosha Wells who all achieved nine Grade 9s and one Grade 8.

Suzanna Tischkowitz and Shahadat Ullah who gained eight Grade 9s and two Grade 8s.

A further 14 students gained at least eight grade 8s and 9s:

Serena Arthur, Jack Balado-Lopez, Darcey Berry, Maya Burli, Ryan Chung, Roshan Downey, Austin Glover, Olivia Glover, Oliver Hutley, Kiki Jones, Cecilia Martinelli,  Liam Mays, Sean Ovonlen and Abbie Younger

Students hard work has really paid off, with many just under the bar of eight grade 8s and 9s, plus some the College is especially proud of who put in a great amount of effort to achieve grade 5 or above, particularly in English and Maths.
