GCSE Results 2020
Collection of your GCSE results.
This year’s process will be carried out wholly online as the College is unlikely to be open owing to the continuing restrictions concerning the Covid-19 virus. We will still be able to provide you with a full post-results service through working remotely. If the College is able to open more fully in August, we will also be in a position to arrange some face to face meetings as well.
When and how you obtain your results
On Thursday 20 August your GCSE results will be emailed via your Hockerill account by 0830 hrs. If you wish your parents to receive your results at the same time, please email Mrs Dewhurst as soon as possible on email@example.com giving your consent.
If you would like to receive post-results advice on the GCSE Grades you have attained or on your Sixth Form choices, then please use this link to contact us:
Once you have completed the form, you will receive a copy for your records as an acknowledgement that we have received your enquiry. Please be patient; a member of the post-results team will reply within 24 working hours via email or a telephone call in response to the query and contact information contained in your enquiry form. In the unlikely circumstances that you do not hear from us within 24 hours, then please telephone Reception.
Review of results
Due to the effects of the Covid-19 virus, it is not yet clear what opportunities you will have to raise enquiries about your results. We will make further information about this available as soon as possible. This summer the standard post-results services such as access to scripts, reviews of marking and reviews of moderation will not apply.
Receiving your GCSE Certificates
The Exam Boards despatches GCSE certificates to arrive in College by November. We plan to distribute these in our scheduled GCSE Presentation Evening on the evening of Friday 27 November.
If you wish to retake any subjects
Once you have communicated with the post-results team, you may wish, or be advised, to take resits in November. At present, the Exam Boards have advised us that English Language and Mathematics resits will be available as normal in the November exam session but have not yet given any indication about resits in other subjects. Again, we will update you about this if the situation changes.
Please do not hesitate to contact Mr Capener (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any queries. We hope you are all keeping well in these unprecedented times and we are looking forward to celebrating your GCSE results with you in August.
