University of Warwick London base, Opportunities available for Pre-University students (aged 16-18).

There are a number of dates available for two-three day taster programmes in Economics, History and History of Art for which there are discounts for paid places and bursaries for free places available to students from a widening participation background. Tasters are delivered during the school holidays and the next ones are at February half term and Easter.

Intellectually curious, keen to make new friends, have a thirst for knowledge and wish to test-drive university learning in the heart of London’s exciting Knowledge Quarter?  The University of Warwick – one of the UK’s leading Russell Group Universities offers several two and three-day Tasters in a range of subjects, delivered in London during the school holidays.  The tasters are designed for students who will be applying (or have applied) to university and who wish to enhance the school curriculum with teaching delivered by Warwick staff.

We are also hosting a number of Subject Information Evenings for students interested in studying in Warwick. All are at 5pm – 7pm and you have the chance to meet staff and students from the Department and find out about studying the subjects at Warwick.

The University of Edinburgh Scholarship for Widening Access

 

The University has reviewed and strengthened its widening access scholarships for students entering from 2019. Every student from England, Wales and Northern Ireland who has applied for funding from their regional funding body, and has a household income below £35,000, will be automatically awarded a scholarship of between £1,550 and £8,500 for every year of their degree.

  

There’s no separate form to fill in, the money is on top of any Student Finance England, Wales or Northern Ireland funding, and the scholarship doesn’t have to be repaid. Check our website for more information at edin.ac/edinburgh-scholarship

Tomorrow’s Engineers Week Big Assembly, offering schools across the UK the chance to simultaneously take part in the same assembly on engineering careers.

Taking place at 10.30am 7 November 2018 this is a live video stream, featuring a panel of inspiring engineers who will discuss their careers and the positive impact engineering has on the issues young people care about most, such as protecting the environment, animal welfare, safety and security, health and entertainment.
