First Hockey XI reach the next round of the Senior National Hockey Championships

Hockey U18 girls - nat 1st round

Hockerill's First XI Girls Hockey Team won the first round of the National Hockey Championships held at Oaklands College on Thursday 27th September. Captained by Faye Crawford, the Senior and Year 11 girls won all their matches, with wins against Aldenham, Hitchin, Knights Templar, Queenswood, and then winning in the final against The Bishop’s Stortford College. 

 The team will now progress to the second round, to be held on Tuesday 2nd October, at the University of East Anglia. 

 Head of PE and Sport, Jen Perry said “I am very proud of our girls for winning this stage of the competition. The hockey they played was the highest standard I have seen at this level, and they rose to the occasion. I am looking forward to them taking on their next challenge.”
